Lead responsibly with AI in 2026
Manage Risk. Create Alignment. Innovate.
AI use is already happening inside most nonprofit organizations.
The real challenge is guiding that use in ways that protect people, reduce risk, and stay aligned with your mission.
The GenAI Policy Lab offers a guided pathway to build shared standards, ethical practices, and a living policy that your team can actually use.
📅 Next Lab Launches on January 16th, 2026
💻 Format: 100% virtual
💸 Cost: $2,500 flat rate
🏢 Who: U.S.-based orgs under $10M in annual revenue
👥 Participants: Executive + Board Member
AI is already showing up across daily nonprofit work, from email drafting to program workflows to internal documents. Most staff are learning and experimenting on their own, which means leaders often lack visibility and alignment.
The lab helps your organization:
✅Reduce organizational risk
✅Set thoughtful expectations for use
✅create shared language across staff and board
✅ensure that innovation stays grounded in mission and values
✅move forward with clarity instead of fear or confusion

Where does your team land?
This grid maps where nonprofit leaders and their teams say they are in their GenAI journey. Each dot represents a real response capturing how individuals, teams, orgs, and boards are approaching (or avoiding) policy and learning.
We’ve got “Ghost Mode” users working quietly and alone… “Policy Prison” orgs that locked things down too early… and “Sandbox Rebellion” teams experimenting with no shared direction.
Only a handful have made it to “Aligned Innovation,” the sweet spot of collaborative, clear, and mission-aligned GenAI use.
That’s exactly what the GenAI Policy Lab is designed to help you build. If your org is still finding its way, this lab gives you the guidance, clarity, and peer support to move forward with confidence.

The Lab Experience...
Learn the Basics
We start with the basics. Before drafting policy, we’ll build a shared foundation establishing what GenAI is, how it works, where it’s already showing up in your tools, and what’s changing. Then, over six months, we walk you step-by-step through building a responsible, mission-aligned GenAI policy designed for the realities of nonprofit organizations. The Lab includes five total sessions: one 90-minute virtual group launch meeting, followed by a mix of private organizational consults (x2) and cohort workshops (x2).
Build a Community
You’ll join a small group of nonprofit leaders navigating similar questions. You’ll hear what’s working, what’s not, and what’s ahead.
Bring Staff Out of the Shadows
Your staff are already using AI tools. Your work will create a culture of permission, co-learning, and shared responsibility.
Board Engagement Without Overwhelm
We equip you to bring your board along without a 60-slide deck. You’ll get tools to help them understand, support, and approve what matters.
